FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
July 12, 2016
HealthCare California has announced that Leslie Fitzgerald, Registered Nurse, has successfully completed the Certificate for OASIS Specialist-Clinical exam and may now use the COS-C designation. Ms. Fitzgerald achieved a first-time COS-C designation.
OASIS (Outcome and Assessment Information Set) is officially the data collection tool used by Medicare to ensure standard quality care is being provided by home health agencies across the United States. The COS-C designation exam is the only nationally standardized, psychometrically validated test that evaluates a clinician's knowledge of OASIS guidelines stipulated by the Centers for Medicare and Medical Services [CMS].
In commenting on this milestone, Devin S. Nugent, Chief Executive Officer, stated:
We are proud of this accomplishment by Leslie. We firmly believe supporting employees through programs such as the COS-C not only enhances the skillset of our team members, but also solidifies HealthCare California's commitment to quality in both our patient care and clinical documentation standards.
