HEALTHCARE CALIFORNIA RECOGNIZES WOUND TREATMENT ASSOCIATE NURSE
HealthCare California recognizes Lisa Humphrey, LVN for completion of the Wound Treatment Associate Program. The purpose of the program is to prepare nurses in providing optimal care for patients with acute and chronic wounds under the direction of a Certified Wound Care Nurse.
In commenting on this achievement, Michael R. Prosperi, BSN, CWCN, Director of Patient Care Services for HealthCare California, stated:
I wish to congratulate Lisa on completing the Wound Treatment Associate (WTA) Program. The WTA Program is endorsed by the Wound Ostomy and Continence Nursing Society which is America's premier nursing specialty organization.
This program will enhance our clinical team by helping us to achieve even more positive clinical outcomes while also providing education to our team of registered nurses and licensed vocational nurses. This is HealthCare California's first step in the implementation of a complete Wound Care Program that will provide Gold Standard treatment for the care of our patients.
